Christine started her career as colorist at the age of twelve experimenting with Sun-In and food coloring after watching Duran Duran videos. A brief stint in art school revealed her natural propensity for the color wheel and formulating. She headed West from New Jersey to San Francisco where, shortly after arriving, she started her formal colorist training at the now defunct Architects and Heroes Salon. She completed her formal training at the world-renowned San Francisco beauty mecca, diPietro Todd Salon and, after honing her skills, Christine was promoted to Head Colorist of their busy Mill Valley location. In order to enjoy a more relaxed and intimate experience with her clients, Christine decided to leave the big salon after 9 years to open Revery with her long-time friend, stylist Heather Fultz.
She is best known for her sun-kissed & fluid balayage highlights and her rich, tonal, moving brunettes. Her style can be as graphic as the Hanna-Barbera cartoon, as vivid as a pre-Raphaelite painting or as refined as a Ralph Lauren ad. As a Colorist, Christine is most inspired by the relationship between light and shadow and how it moves and changes. She also draws from subtle tonal changes in nature as found in beach stones and feathers.
Known for her sense of humor and humility, she enjoys making people feel good and nurturing her clients' radiance.
Heather Fultz – Owner/Stylist
Heather may well owe her career in hairdressing to her mother. During high school, her mother loved to experiment to get that perfect blond on her. After many attempts and having gray, green and bright yellow hair, she decided to take matters into her own hands.
Being a free spirit, she wanted to do something where change was eminent.
“I wanted to do something creative while making people feel good about themselves.”
After completing her education at DiPietro Todd and partaking in numerous fashion shows, Heather and her husband decided to travel the world. After a year long stint of globe trotting, she returned to DiPietro Todd, where she cut hair a total of 13 years, including the likes of Marin legends such as Neil Shon and Tyler Florence.
Along with her longtime friend, colorist Christine Donahue, Heather longed for a more intimate, hometown salon feeling; a place for superior, premier services with a family feel. In January 2012, Revery was born.
While known for creating hairstyles best suited for a person's individual style, keratin treatments, curly hair and creative cuts, she believes the initial consultation is the key to donning a realistic "do" that can be easily duplicated at home. As staff educator, Heather shares her talent, teaching a precisely honed series of haircuts, creativity and overall cutting skills.
“I always get comments like ‘I love your haircut, can I take a picture to show my stylist?’ I tell them to skip the hassle and go straight to Heather. Plus she’s cool and fun to hang with.” - Dawn Dobras
